Twenty-one days from London around the full Scottish coastline and out to the islands — Northumberland to the Borders, by way of Caithness, Skye, Harris, Barra, and Mull.
Uig–Tarbert, Leverburgh–Berneray, and Oban–Craignure are the ones that can strand you if full. Barra–Oban runs direct only a few days a week — check it against your dates.
Roughly 8am–6pm. Plan to be settled at camp before dark, especially on the exposed north coast and island legs.
Many campsites close through October — farm stays are built in on the more exposed, weather-risky nights. Pack for genuinely wet, windy conditions.
Road legs are calculated live from an open routing service; ferry legs use published approximate crossing times. Always cross-check against CalMac before booking.
